I love these old metrical Psalms. There is no evangelical Reformed Church where I live. I'm participating in church that's a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. We don't sing any of these old versions of Psalms. On the rare occasions when we do sing a Psalm it's in the style of the Gettys, which are very nice, but don't have the gravitas of the old versions. The Worship Service is a Hymn Sandwich, which leaves me feeling cut off from the catholic Church. I miss the Reformed liturgy! Still God is worshipped and His Word is read and faithfully preached, for which I'm grateful.
